Spaced Repetition & Spot Hifdh Testing (Spaced Repetition and Specific Memorization Tests)
in progress

Assalamu Alaikum,
I believe that considering a method of implementing a personalised spaced repetition algorithm with the help of AI would be extremely beneficial to all students of Hifdh.
For example, being able to create a session (e.g 1 page or a quarter Juz) and being tested by the AI. Based on your performance it will suggest a next review date. This should be separate from the regular AI that tests you.
For example, if I were to practice x page and eventually get to a level where I feel confident, I should be able to choose an AI that tests me for the purpose of long term memorisation. Based on my performance, the next review date may be in two days. If I read with no mistakes on that day, the algorithm would calculate when the next most optimal day would be in respect to all the other Hifdh you are doing. (This is also why the conventional method of spaced repetition is difficult with large amounts of information as the sheer volume can become overwhelming)

AI judge to help prepare for Quran Competitions

اسلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته
I am currently trying to get ready for multiple quran competitions all around USA. A huge problem for me is that I don't have much experience on how it feels to be getting tested on the big stage, and also when i need to be quizzed from random spots in the quran, a lot of times people are busy and don't have time to test me. I was thinking of asking you guys to add a feature to tarteel that Helps contestants get ready for a competition by acting like a judge and providing questions for the contestant.
May Allah reward all of you for your efforts and make this a means for you to enter the highest levels of jannah. Ameen yaa rabbit.

Feature Proposal Retention: Smart Revision & Adaptive Testing System
m
mohbaiomy
When will this feature be activated? The wait is very long and it is undoubtedly the most important feature a user needs.
The program must first identify the extent to which the user has saved (whether the saving is sequential from top to bottom, bottom to top, or separate parts).
The proposal consists of two parts: the review plan, and the memorization test.
First: the review plan
I suggest that the plan be flexible and adjustable according to the user's desire, so that the daily review is as follows: “I suggest this and the user can either modify or use this basis.”
Review half a portion per day for those who memorize 5 parts.
Reviewing a full section daily for those who memorize 10 parts, and so on.
The review is for 5 days a week only, with Thursday and Friday (for example) set aside as a vacation in order to ensure that there is plenty of room in the event of any emergency during the week, so that the review schedule is not affected and continues regularly.
This way, the entire conservation review course is completed in one to three weeks before starting a new course.
The program automatically writes the review schedule for each course based on the amount set by the keeper. In each new course, the application adds the new sections that were recently saved and incorporated into the schedule.
Second: the memorization test (on vacation days)
Vacation days are an opportunity for the keeper to remedy any shortcomings in the review, in addition to taking the memorization test.
Here, the program tests the keeper in a smart way. If he memorizes 10 parts, for example, he will test it in the first 8 parts (the oldest). At the end of the test, it is explained to him
Vulnerabilities and parts that need to be confirmed and installed.
When will this feature be activated? It is long overdue and is, without a doubt, the most essential feature for any user.
The program must first identify the user's current progress (whether they are memorizing chronologically from top to bottom, bottom to top, or in scattered parts). The proposal consists of two main pillars: The Revision Plan and The Hifz (Memorization) Test.
First: The Revision Plan
I suggest a flexible plan that is fully customizable by the user. I propose the following baseline (which users can either modify or adopt as-is):
5 Parts (Juz): Review half a part daily.
10 Parts (Juz): Review one full part daily, and so on.
The “5+2” Schedule:
The revision should be scheduled for 5 days a week, with two days (e.g., Thursday and Friday) set as a break. These two days serve as a “buffer” to ensure that if any emergency occurs during the week, the user has enough time to catch up without disrupting the overall schedule.
Using this method, a full revision cycle would be completed every one to three weeks before a new cycle begins. The program should automatically generate the revision table for each cycle based on the user's input. With every new cycle, the app should automatically integrate any newly remembered parts into the upcoming revision schedule.
Second: The Hifz Test (During Break Days)
The two break days are an opportunity for the user to catch up on any missed revision and to enter a progress test.
The program should test the user intelligently. For example, if a user has memorized 10 parts, the system should test them on the first 8 parts (the oldest and most established). At the end of the test, the program should highlight weak points and identify specific areas that require further reinforcement and stabilization.

Test Me On This in X Days
F
FahadSyed
As a user, I want to improve my memorization by creating reminders to test me on versed I’ve made mistakes on.
Feature Flow:
Creating a Test / Appending to a Test
Long click on an ayah. The dropdown menu has a feature called ‘test me on this’. This opens the testing wizard. You select how many days later you want to be tested. For the first iteration its okay to add an ayah multiple times.
Starting a Test
The home screen has a new tab with a queue. When you click on the queue it shows you a set of cards. Each card is the ayah you want to be tested on with the memorization mode enabled by default. You can try to recite it.
Once you go through the deck of cards, you’re done. The deck can be deleted server side.
As a future feature you could create a notification or jump into a test when clicking on a test notification.

Random Verse Testing Feature for Memorization Test /Random Verse Testing Feature for Memorization
w
walaabdulrazzak
I suggest adding a random sounding feature in the app, so that a random verse is selected from the part or surah specified by the user and asked to complete the recitation until the desired position. Listening is the same as the current method in the app, by hiding verses and audio recording, which helps test memorization as if it is a real exploration. This feature will be useful for those who memorize individually and want to evaluate their level before going for the actual sounding.
I suggest adding a random verse testing feature to the app, where a random verse from the selected Juz' or Surah is given to the user, requiring them to continue reciting until the specified point. The memorization test would follow the same current method in the app, with hidden verses and voice recording, allowing users to assess their memorization as if it were a real test.
This feature would be beneficial for individuals who remember their own and want to evaluate their progress before an actual test.

Memorising test
Z
Zaydou_da
Assalamou aalaykoum, I did not find the functionality to have "memorization" tests, that is to say for a surah or several surahs at the same time, the application asks us questions on verses in a random way and we must continue the rest, I know that the application (Ayat Al quran already does it) it will be really magnificent if you can add this functionality, may Allah accept your precious work and grant you sincerity and firdaws as well as all your families and all Muslims
